Facial harmonization
Botulinum toxin or hyaluronic acid: what is the difference?
Understand what each facial injectable addresses and how movement, volume and your goals guide an individual treatment decision.

They are different treatments
Botulinum toxin acts on the activity of selected muscles. Fillers, including some hyaluronic acid products, provide support or volume for specific indications. The choice depends on the concern being addressed.
Movement and structure
A line appearing with expression is not assessed in the same way as volume loss. Consultation should consider the face at rest and in motion, including the changes you want and the features you wish to preserve.
Questions before choosing
Ask about the proposed product’s purpose, treatment areas and expected limitations. A brand name or somebody else’s photograph is not enough to build a plan suited to your anatomy.
A plan, not a package
Any combination should be justified during assessment; not everyone needs both treatments. Discuss recovery, follow-up and costs before deciding. The first step is understanding the intended change, rather than choosing a syringe.
A useful question to bring
Is my concern mainly about movement, support or skin quality? Bringing this question helps organize the conversation and understand why one option is proposed rather than another.
