Facial harmonization
How is facial harmonization planned for men?
Planning starts with individual anatomy and goals, rather than one model of a male face or a compulsory procedure.

Start with the person
A consultation starts with what you want to preserve or address, your history and expectations. Being a man does not automatically define a desirable jawline, volume or expression. No single template should be applied to everyone.
Anatomy guides assessment
Publications describe average anatomical differences between populations, alongside individual variation. Clinicians consider proportions, support, tissues and movement. A study average cannot determine your facial needs without an examination.
Explain the change you want
Discuss which features are part of your identity and which changes you do not want. Reference photographs may start a conversation, but they do not guarantee another person’s appearance or replace assessment of your anatomy.
Evidence has limits
Some recommendations for male patients come from reviews and expert consensus. They help frame questions and options, but do not establish one treatment as best for every man.
A shared, considered plan
A plan may include treatment, observation or no intervention. Before deciding, discuss possible benefits, risks, alternatives and follow-up. Natural-looking results are judged against your goals rather than stereotypes of masculinity. Perfect symmetry is not a guaranteed clinical outcome either.
