Facial harmonization
What care do you need after botulinum toxin injections?
General guidance for the first hours, handling treated areas and follow-up; instructions are tailored to each case.

Leave with clear instructions
Many people resume everyday activities quickly, but that does not mean every activity is equivalent. Before leaving, request instructions about treated-area care, exercise and follow-up. Clarify how to contact the team about unexpected changes.
Avoid rubbing or massaging the area
The AAD and American Society of Plastic Surgeons advise against rubbing or massaging treated sites. If applying an allowed cosmetic, be gentle and avoid pressure. Do not add massages or facial devices without checking first.
Agree when to resume exercise
Ask when to resume strenuous exercise, facial treatments or other usual activities. Instructions should consider the procedure and your circumstances. Avoid combining conflicting social-media advice with your instructions: clarify questions directly with the treating professional.
Monitor your progress
Local discomfort, redness or small bruises can occur. Report concerning symptoms and attend agreed follow-up; do not try to correct changes with pressure or extra injections. Seek urgent medical attention for difficulty breathing, swallowing or speaking.
